What is the You Rock Guitar?
The You Rock Guitar™ is the world’s first guitar to bridge the music making and video game worlds. It eliminates the barriers that separate them today. This incredible hybrid satisfies the needs of musicians, of all skill levels, and gives gamers the best way to cross over to real guitar playing.
How does it work with existing Gaming Consoles?
The YRG’s Game Flex cartridges let you connect a single guitar to any of the video game consoles; Nintendo Wii, Xbox360, or Sony’s PlayStation. You buy one guitar, and decide which cartridges to buy.

In 2009, those benefits are limited by the games themselves. While the instrument (combined with the Game Flex Module) works out of the box with existing games, there’s no additional/incremental functionality to the experience other than hitting strings instead of buttons.
But as game developers & publisher take advantage of this new platform they’ll be able to develop games that exploit musical gaming with no boundaries.
The You Rock Guitar picks up where today’s product reach their limits. It eliminates the barriers that exist today between the two worlds.
Here are some obvious examples:
Games will be able to offer modes that increase in degree of difficulty by more closely associating the games notes to real notes played in any song.
Speed, rhythm, number of notes, complexity of notes, chords, and songs, will enable a continuous transition from simple/easy beginners, to ‘playing along-side the real music’ as the actual performers would see fit. Innovation will be limiteless.
Both developers and gamers creativity will drive game development and a natural evolution between 100% game (role play) and 100% performance (music play).

When will the product be available?
The YOU ROCK GUITAR’s carries a $179.99 SRP and the GAMEFLEX modules are $24.99 each. The product will be available online and at retail stores across the country in the Fall of 2009.

How do I switch between musical instrument & game controller?
