The YRG-Pro, our KickStarter Project

Since we first launched the YRG-1000, we have had customer requests for a ‘Pro’ version of the YouRock Guitar. They are happy with the performance of the existing product, but want something higher end and more professional. As a small company we have limited resources and a lot of our effort has gone into improvements leading to our YRG <Gen2> that will be released in August 2012. We know that the YRG-Pro is an important project for both our customers and YouRock Guitar, so we decided to release the YRG-Pro as a community funded project on Kickstarter.

The way KickStarter works is that you participate in bringing the YRG-Pro to life by pledging $$ towards our $80K goal. If we meet our goal (by July 30th) we get the funding and you get your YRG-Pro. If not, we do not get the money and will not implement the YRG-Pro this year. There are several pledge options and rewards suitable for everyone. YRG-Pro differences from our YRG-1000 Gen2:

• Solid wood body.
• Solid bolt on wood neck supporting our new patented fingerboard technology.
  
• The neck is standard “strat” width.
• The guitar has 22 frets with standard fret spacing.
• The fingerboard is a new design with a 13” radius.
• The whammy bar is being redesigned with a metal fulcrum and spring system.
• The redesigned mute bar will allow for palm muting via different velocity settings Velocity switching can be used to select different sounds.
• Built in rechargeable battery pack.
• LCD based GUI interface.
• High quality I/O jacks.
