Hi – sorry we do not have this feature at this time.
Here are some notes on creating custom tunings. Let us know if this helps you
Custom Tuning are labeled -1 ~ -9.
To Set up a custom Open Tuning on the YRG
1. Go to Submenu # 2: User Tunings
2. Create a new user tuning
3. Exit Sub Menus and assign it to a preset and save the preset.
1. Go to Submenu # 2: User Tunings
- press and hold MUSIC
HI – make sure that you save the preset before disconnecting from the Control Panel. Also you can select the Open Tuning directly on the YRG panel by holding the Open Button and pressing up/down
Hi Some users have used mechanical Capos, but we do not recommend that.
You are much better off using one of the 75 Open Tunings, or your own custom User Tuning. The Factory tunings are listed on page 37 of the manual. You can find that…[Read more]
The YRG functions like any MIDI controller, so is not limited in that regard. The limitation in this case is GP6. You can record in real time into any Music Software. All DAWs will support this (Logic, Cubase, Reaper etc …) As for notation Software, there are other options, but I am not sure which will support real time notation recording.

If you prefer, you an purchase the YRG with the radius neck on our site.

Hola, los sonidos internos son sólo en la guitarra.

Please try the YRG without the Control Panel to see if this helps with the connect/disconnect problem. Also I see you have opened a ticket. If this is an issue, we can deal with it through the ticket.
If you did an update on the YRG, then all presets and settings will be restored to factory. Otherwise, you can follow this procedure:
From The FAQ: Restore to Factory Settings: (http://www.yourockguitar.com/support/faq-manuals)
To restore the presets to the factory settings
While pressing and holding the GUITAR and SYNTH buttons, press…[Read more]
Hi, please note that many VST’s will respond differently. YRG always sends controller #7 for Volume and MIDI pitch wheel for bend (whammy) most synth sounds are configured to respond to Volume and pitch bend with 2 half step range.
In some cases the DAW will capture the volume before sending it to the VST. It is not always consistent and needs to…[Read more]
Hi are you on Mac or PC?
– do you know if the system (Mac or PC) USB connection goes away when the YRG stops working?
– does it disappear while you are playing or only when you start a new session?
HI There, the settings apply to all: onboard, MIDI and USB/MIDI so any changes should be reflected correctly. Is the OPEN LED on? Make sure to save the preset from the control panel. Or make the adjustment on the guitar itself and save the preset by pressing and holding MUSIC and pressing RECORD.
BTW – is it working with the internal sounds?
A couple of possibilities. First, make sure that the neck is properly inserted into the body by removing it and then reinserting it. If that doesn’t work we may need to check some internal connections – open a ticket and we can send you some instructions.

When you get a moment, try the Hammer Blanking or Hammer Pre-Delay it should help. Otherwise enjoy!
The main cause of this is usually the fact that when you pluck a second note on the same string, your finger touches the fretboard before you pluck it. The YRG is trying to make the quickest decision and it sees the tap before the pluck.
First disable hammer on’s to verify that this is the problem (see below). If that cures your…[Read more]
