Many first time guitar players go out and get a guitar, a strap, a case, an amp and a tuner.  They sit down anxious to learn. You can go to YouTube or your local music store for lesson books and videos. But let’s face it, every time you sit down to practice, you gotta tune up, or sound like crap. And for a beginner that’s the biggest pain in the butt of learning guitar.  Not to mention the broken strings along the way.

With the You Rock Guitar, we made it so every time you sit down to play, you’re perfectly in tune. Whether you want to sound electric, acoustic, strum or solo. The You Rock Guitar never needs tuning. You always sound great.

You’re welcome.

Now let’s get rocking.

For those of you wanting to play with others or in a band setting, we even included a tuning reference on sound #50 in the settings.  You’ll tell the band to tune up to you. We made it easy.  If by chance your having to play with an old organist or piano that’s a few cents flat, the You Rock Guitar has a global tuning offset. All the strings up or down at one time. Easy, but hopefully you won’t need to mess with it much because we were careful to stay at A-440.

Guitar Center survey shows guitar game players buying real guitars

May 2, 2009 by Kevin · Leave a Comment

Of the Guitar Hero and Rock Band players that do not currently play a musical instrument, two-thirds (67%) indicated that they are likely to begin playing a real instrument in the next two years.

Guitar Hero and Rock Band creators Harmonix were founded on the hopes that they could inspire a league of new musicians through software, so presumably they’ll be happy to hear the results of a new Guitar Center survey which showed the following:

  1. Nearly three out of four (72%) musicians who play games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band have spent more time playing their real instrument(s) since they began playing these games.
  2. Eight out of 10 (81%) of the Guitar Hero and Rock Band players that have been inspired to play an instrument because of the games would like to receive a musical instrument as a gift this winter holiday season.
  3. Sales of gear for first-timers at Guitar Center has surged along with the peak in sales for Guitar Hero and Rock Band. In the holiday selling season in the last quarter of 2007, Guitar Center saw a +20.7% jump in comparable store sales for beginner-level electric guitar & amplifiers. This surge grew even stronger through the first nine months of 2008, when Guitar Center’s cumulative comparable store sales for the category increased +26.9%.

CD quality rock and acoustic guitars with music loops to jam with. The best electrics perfectly recorded clean and grungy for great rock sources. Pristine acoustic, nylon and 12-string guitars and that’s just the beginning.

The sound loops are developing nicely.  Check out the splash sound, a few of the loops and guitars, and the obligatory screaming fans.
